I describe these portraits as "informal" because the people in them have not posed for me.  I want to paint people looking completely natural and candid.​  I am a dedicated "people watcher" and keep my long zoom lens ready to take a picture from a discreet and respectful distance.  I only photograph people in public places, such as parks, beaches, or city streets, never where I might be intruding on their personal space.  Interesting people are everywhere, and I hope you enjoy the ones I have found!
