I am intrigued by people, their expressions and gestures, their faces, clothing and activities.  I'm always on the lookout for people doing interesting things, ready to snap a picture or two, to use as the inspiration for a painting.  I take great pleasure in creating compositions with single or multiple figures, combining and cropping them in intriguing and often surprising ways, and telling just enough, but not all, of the story.  Here is a selection of my new, figurative, studio watercolors.​
